KAP on Sydney Opera House 2008 – Act II… Feb 02, 2008

A big thank you to Pat the security head officer on duty this evening at the Sydney Opera House, without his authorisation, instructions to his team and blessing I would not have been able to launch my kite. I suspect that some prints from my tentative last year showed him I was not a terrorist or a threat. His concern was more for the peacefulness and quietness of the place and I promised him that if the crowd was too big around my activities I would bring my kite down…Fortunately it was”happy hour time” and this is important for the Aussies. Thank you Pat and your team, you made my day, I had a great time.

I must say that during this 60 minute KAP session I had the feeling that everything was right : the light, the wind, the kite, the rig, the camera, I felt privileged and above all happy. (sounds silly but so great!)

Flow Form 16, light wind ( I wished I had my R8), Autokap, Rioch GX 100.

      Yes Pierre,
You're right, this is the great result of a perfect one hour kap session.
Sometimes, everything is just here and work fine. Don't worry about "sound silly but so great!" . Everyone who felt this state one "kite day" knows what you mean.

Despite being way over budget I still think this is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Thank you for such a wonderful photo. It captures everything.
