This is one the rare hybrids of the Fly orchid (Ophrys insectifera) and the Bee orchid (Ophrys apifera), the Fly-Bee or Bee-Fly orchid hybrid (O. insectifera x apifera, Ophrys x pietschii). This specimen clearly shows the properties of the two, the characteristic lip of the Fly and the pink petals and the tall statue of the Bee. It was our first visit to the site in hope to find the Fly orchid which was found at the end, but this rare hybrid was the first prize to be found on this trip – what could have been better. Fotografia manipulada emulando a la conocida Kodak Tri-X 400 ASA.
El grano que vemos en la fotografía, no es ruido de una fotografía digital, es el grano de la emulsión de haluro de plata, que se ha manipulado para que salga mas grano.
Este efecto fué muy conocido y usado durante los años de la fotografía analógica por fotógrafos en busca de nuevas tendencias.
Para producirlo, se fotografiaba poniendo la sensibilidad en la cámara a 800 ASA por lo que la película quedaba subexpuesta y se debía compensar con la temperatura, dilución del revelador y duración del revelado de la película.
Este efecto, me llevó ya entonces a obtener bantastes premios fotográficos, al ser novedoso.
La anecdota de esta sesión fotográfica, fué que al realizar las fotografias, teniamos a un grupo de mecánicos compañeros de mi modelo, mirando y gastando bromas por lo que era imposible poder realizar las fotos, tanto por parte mia como de él, por que se nos escapaba la risa y eso dificultó la sesión con mas disparos de los necesarios. Espero que os guste.

Photography manipulated emulating the well-known Kodak Tri-X 400 ASA.
The grain we see in the photograph is not the noise of a digital photograph, it is the grain of the silver halide emulsion, which has been manipulated so that more grain comes out.
This effect was well known and used during the years of analog photography by photographers in search of new trends.
To produce it, it was photographed by placing the sensitivity in the camera at 800 ASA so that the film was underexposed and had to be compensated with the temperature, dilution of the developer and duration of the development of the film.
This effect, led me then to obtain bantastes photographic prizes, being novel.
The anecdote of this photographic session, was that when making the photographs, we had a group of mechanics who were partners of my model, watching and making jokes so it was impossible to make the photos, both on my side and on him, because our laughter escaped and that made the session more difficult than necessary. I hope you like it.

The Sir William Henry Bragg building is on the University of Leeds campus. It is a hub for Engineering and Physical Sciences. The internal architecture is wonderful to behold. I took this photograph looking up at the central lighting structure. The Nobel Prize winner would have been proud of the place. Bragg and his Son won the Nobel prize for their work on x-rays.

Dollhouse Theatre is an inspired, complete build with full exterior and semi-functional interior (minus the cinema). Unlike regular photo scenes, it does not have blank backing, and is fully textured throughout. A spacious sky surround is also included.

The Theatre is customisable - a *now showing* texture overlay is included for you to customise your own movies, and you can simply drag and drop your own movie posters onto the current frames.
All movie posters in our scene were AI generated and improvised, and are not real films.

Fotografía realizada en 1978 con motivo de los movilizaciones para el cierre de la fábrica por su ubicación tan cercana a las zonas habitadas.
Este fué uno de los primeros premios que obtuve, con bastante resonancia mediática en la zona.
El aluminio que procesaban provenía de los aviones estrellados o en desuso y los fundían para hacer lingotes de aluminio para su futuro uso doméstico, como ollas y otros utensilios de cocina... etc.
Veinte años después se cerró.... y han pasado otros veinte años que aún está el solar con letreros avisando de solar contaminado no pasar.... allí dudo que pueda crecer nunca más nada.
Película Kodak Tri X de 400 ASA, manipulada a 800 ASA para obtener mayor grano de la emulsión fotográfica, (no es ruido digital).

Photograph taken in 1978 on the occasion of the mobilizations for the closure of the factory due to its location so close to the inhabited areas.
The aluminum they processed came from crashed or disused airplanes and melted them to make aluminum ingots for future domestic use, such as pots and other kitchen utensils ... etc.
Twenty years later it was closed ... and another twenty years have passed since the lot is still with signs warning of contaminated land not to pass ... there I doubt that it can ever grow anything more.
Kodak Tri X 400 ASA film, manipulated at 800 ASA to obtain greater grain of the photographic emulsion, (it is not digital noise).

Now someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe these cows are the Angus breed.** These ones are red or ginger in their appearance and the ones you'll see in the next photo are mainly black. They are fine looking creatures, and they duly posed for my photograph. The paddock they are in overlooks Bass Strait.
**Update:
A report from a friend in Queensland who knows a thing or two about cows and farming. Here is her definitive report, and it makes good sense. I'll have to rethink my title now.
"The black cattle will be Angus and you can get dark red pure bred Angus but I think the slightly taller more sturdily built ginger, beige or coffee coloured cattle are more likely to be South Devon or Charolais x Murray Grey so a right combination of English, European and good old Aussie bred genetics coming together to provide that tasty, tender grass fed meat the Cape Grim brand is obviously becoming famous for."
I'm told online that Cape Grim farmers also don't like mixing breeds in the same paddock because it can create undue stress on some of the cows. So it makes sense that these beauties are kept separate from the Angus cows across the road.
