I captured this shot during Jackson's high school graduation which took place in the Utah Valley University auditorium. They kept the lights over the crowd of graduates frustratingly dim, however, this blond girl in the photo appeared to have a beam of light on her from somewhere. The illumination really made her stand out and glow. Her very blond hair also had something to do with it. Overall the ceremony was about 2 1/2 hours so it was tough to still seem interested by the end.

This is an action shot from Jackson's High School Graduation which was held in the event center for Utah Valley University. Actually, this picture was taken after the ceremony when he and his friends were picking up their real diplomas. The school held back the diplomas to make sure no one did anything too crazy during the public ceremony. A big happy crowd full of great expectations.

My wife Kimberly is going back to school to get another college degree. She's working on a Bachelor's degree in Marketing at Utah Valley University. This is from her first day of school a few weeks ago.

I'm very inspired by Todd Hido's night work. Check it out, it's an interesting concept of peeling back the beauty of the suburbs to expose what they really are.

Check out his work
