This evening's view with new snow on the lake as we burn through another. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

The canyon view with a few inches of new snow and a shrinking river soon to be ice. Not loving this one, but it shows winter's arrival. Thanks for looking and stay warm!

A view of the bird feeder with new snow after having almost none for the winter. Still snowing . Happy spring to all. Spring flowers will be a while.

Fresh snow surrounds a small lake that lies on the Beartooth Plateau at an elevation of about 10,000 feet. The lake sits in a depression plucked out of the Archean granite and gneiss by glaciers. The site lies along the Beartooth Highway (US 212) that crosses the Shoshone National Forest in northwest Wyoming

Winter.

Late evening view with several inches of new snow. Also some this morning. Love spring.

As the temperature goes down, we can watch as the freezing level on the local mountains goes down too. New snow definitely in evidence in this view of the Mountains in the Fraser Valley.

I WISH YOU ALL A GREAT WEEKEND!

Closing with a few inches of fresh snow.

A sensational Autumn day today. A view looking north west from Abbotsford to the Golden Ears Mountains in Maple Ridge. Definitely new snow up there!

The quiet of new snow and morning shadows.

look at how much snow stays on the branches and long greenery. I think these are cedar trees...

It always look to me like lovely fluffy white garlands hanging on them.

We've all left our Christmas lights on too... this is looking across the street from my windows....so pretty on the night the snow fell.

I love winter after a fresh snow fall. The world becomes so quiet as the new snow absorbs all sound. A setting sun seen through the trees doesn't hurt either.

Last evenings view in Hatchers Pass showing new snow on the peaks and covering the Independence Mine on the left.. Summer is still working on the high country. May your weekend be good!

Fresh snow covers white bark pine ( Pinus albicaulis) and the underlying granitic rocks along the Beartooth Highway in Shoshone National Forest, Wyoming. The whitebark pine grows at high evelavations near the treeline. This photo was taken near a benchmark reading 10,040’ along the road just below the timberline on the Beartooth Plateau. The rocks exposed here belong to a igneous-metamorphic rock complex of Archean age which has been dated radiometrically at around than 2.6 billion years old. These rocks represent a time when Wyoming was a separate microcontinent called the Wyoming Craton which existed 500 million years before the North American Continent formed.

There's nothing as exquisite as a new blanket of untouched snow, and adventuring out in it with friends.
