Ive Got Your Number
Yesterday I discovered the sad shape of my fitness by overcommitting to a relentless uphill hike to Lake Serene at the base of Mount Index of the Cascade range. The payoff was big, however.
This is just a feeler to see if this would appeal to anyone Im definatly going to do it with my own art work but then thought others might want to join in. Im busy until the end of september so will start proper in october. So if you are interested add a comment
Heres the basic idea..Im going to be putting artists work inside little photo slides with their website on the back. Then Im going to put them in various places around edinburgh, because they will be small I can pretty much put them anywhere to be found by their lucky owners, Im thinking bars restaurants even art galleries.Im thinking initially 25-50 slides per artist
Anyone interested in this idea and want their work distributed would then have to choose at least one artist to promote in their own city. Ill supply the slides at the lowest cost posssible if you dont want to buy your own. You just print out the images and put them in the slides then go out and have fun!!
I originally though this would be just for artists but it would work for bands and creators too.

Another quick camera rotation shot outside Sheffield's main railway station. I must have looked odd to the commuters rushing to catch their train with me hunched over a tripod in the dark spinning like a madman!

Since i love order this is one of my favourite inventions. A film index is perfect in a filer, calendar or notebook to mark an important page.
I found some info about Index in general and wanted to share it with you all:
The symbol ☞ is a punctuation mark, called an index, manicule (from the Latin root manicula, meaning "little hand") or fist. Other names for the symbol include printer's fist, bishop's fist, digit, mutton-fist, hand, hand director, pointer, and pointing hand.
Who invented this form of technique used in catalogs I have no clue of but the actual index is very old and has been used foe centuries. It proves to me that people evolve, in thinking and become more and more advance the further time passes.
Wish everyone a lovely and Happy Smile on Saturday !
