At the Mozilla Drumbeat Festival, in Barcelona- a Hackbus was parked right in the middle of all of the festivities. Hackbuses are mobile learning units that have the goal of basically bringing technology and the sort of do it, make it yourself spirit to communities who otherwise would not have access to the resources.

I hung out at the hackbus a little bit and found it to be kind of like a modern hippie mobile- for hippies with a technological sensibility. We didn't get a ton of work done, but I felt like I was part of a community and learned a lot about what other developers and designers were thinking about.

hackbus.info/index.php/What_is_a_hackbus

What is a HackBus? Hackbusses (or mobile hacklabs or hack vehicles) are a low-threshold way of bringing the culture of hacking to the people. They are migratory learning and teaching units, taking the talented hackers and their ideas out of middle-class urban centers and bringing them to people who might not otherwise be aware of the possibilities available to them.
