Another lifer this summer. Again, not as sharp as I'd have liked, but it's a decent record shot of a critter that's about an inch long.

Gray is the way it's been around here the past week.

Digitally hand-painted, based on photo of our road.

Grays Harbor County is located on the Southwest corner of the Olympic Peninsula along the Pacific Ocean. As I was trying to take some images, I saw my husband coming over holding an umbrella, sure enough it started to rain. Oh well, at least I had the time to take some shots before the rain had started. The clouds looked grey and dark, we expected a big storm, thankfully we just had a light rain.

Thank you for your comments.

I've long admired her writing and her photographic eye...and last night I finally had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Audrey Gray (aka Ms. Jane Hudson).

A generous and fun spirit to match her talents. Thank you Audrey. :)

Have seen the grey heron many times, but was not able to take a decent photo. However, this time it was possible when I met him while walking to the fields in the deep countryside and finally I could take him home in my camera

Up-close and uncropped this Gray Hawk (Asturina nitida) was looking intently for its next meal. This pale gray raptor has only a few breeding pairs in south eastern Arizona.
