I know not how I may seem to others, but to myself I am but a small child wandering upon the vast shores of knowledge, every now and then finding a small bright pebble to content myself with. Plato

Much as I love a good waterfall as much as the next person, the play of light combined with the movement of the water intrigues me more. On the way to Svartifoss I stopped to enjoy the golds and blues in the river above a 'lesser' waterfall. And much to my surprise, I found a lion.

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.

Sorry.. I have been working so was unable to comment on my contacts photos but will do so soon!!

"... find

discover oneself to be in a surprising or unexpected situation.

"phobia sufferers often find themselves virtual prisoners in their own home" ..."

A thousand voices in my head

Each as loud as the next

Talking for hours alone to myself

Trying to put their arguments to rest

A champion of seeing both sides of the story

As I constantly argue with myself

Trying to keep my sanity at bay

Seems like a strain on my mental health

Always questioning all that I do

Always overthinking any move

Like an endless rigorous game of chess

And in the end there’s nothing to prove

Everything’s systematic in my head

Everything plays its own part

But every time I find a solution in life

It takes me right back to the start

Unsure of a technical term for this

Cause to me it’s everyday life

I sometimes wish I could just go a day

Without this constant mental strife.

I had spent an incredible day in Algonquin Park taking in the most spectacular autumn colours I have simply ever seen and was on route back to Deep River when I spotted this little barn from the road.

Over dinner I described to George McQuade the location of the barn and the next morning we were back there, cameras in hand, looking through the cold pre-sunrise fog for my mystery barn.

It didn’t take long to learn that this part of Canada is literally scattered with these fields and these barns. None-the-less, it was good fun finding and shooting this one.

View large and, as always, thanks for looking!

There are fingerprints here..can you find them?

Late today, not feeling 100% so will get to my contacts when I can

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Title from one of the most beautiful songs ever written:

Tried to compose this as best as i could. Wanted the river to move towards the lake and eventually the ocean and the sun.

I find myself terribly priveliged to be able to live through moments like this. Just me, my camera and nature at its finest. I had followed the river for quite some time and this was the last shot of the evening. Any further down and i would almost be in the woods again. After shooting this one i just stood there taking a deep breath and enjoying the moment...

Hope you like it...

After weeks of searching for a Desktop Replacement Laptop for the faulty one I had, I finally managed to find but but it's been a long search. I guess tablets & mobiles are the in thing & it's only oldies like me that need a large screen:) I've tried to keep up with you all as best I could but I'm back in action now & we may all need a tablet if we wake up on Dec 8 to the new flickr but not one of an IT nature!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

On the beach are grains of sand,

one will be of pure gold,

but you cannot see it.

In the field are stalks of grain,

one is a perfect mutant,

but you cannot find it.

At yeshiva there is a learned child,

smarter than the teachers,

but they cannot recognize it.

In the world there is reason to hope,

the surface is all despair,

but you cannot sense it.

Inside you is happiness

you know not how to navigate,

but you can find the path.

See it, find it, recognize it, sense it,

Only then you are on your way.

Getting close to a complete white out as the mist rolls along, I was taken by the sweep of the hillside as it emerged from the gloom. Spectral trees lurk waiting to be unveiled as the birds happily find food in the field.

*Working Towards a Better World

This work is dedicated to my friend Doda Maryoga, who is Greek. I love you and wonder how you are doing during this difficult time in your life and Greece's history. I just want to tell you that you will find the light at the end of the tunnel, it seems so far away now, but you will reach it! Sending love, hugs, kisses, friendship and all the positive prayers, thoughts and vibes possible your way!!!

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo:heart:️

speak to me.

I want to feel you,

I need to hear you.

you are the light

that's leading me

to the place where I find peace again.

Today was so great. It consisted of pretty much going to church, going for a bike ride, going back to church, and ending the day with this photo shoot.

With school winding down, I am finding a lot of free time to spend my days pretty spontaneously, which has been great.

well I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I will look at your streams very soon!

Too cold to go outside and do landscape, so last night I decided to go out to the back yard and found these orbs of orange light dancing down the pathway in Stuttgart. Wanted to see if it was Woody Allen's Orb, but the closer I got to it, the further it moved away. :-) Hope everyone is having a great start to the week.

So here is my contribution to Stephen Maycock's project called Finding Yellow. It's about finding positive things even in darkness. With this is mind i wanted to do something that was hopeful but dark at the same time. I am so glad i can be part of this project because i always try to do hopeful images even if they are dark. There is always a hint of hope.

"Finding peace"

The moment you realize that you can have everything you want in life. However, it takes timing, the right heart, the right action, the right passion and a willingness to risk it all. If it is not yours, it is because you really didn't want it!!! ;)

Sadness flies on the wings of the morning and out of the heart of darkness comes the light.

~Jean Giraudoux

found this baby maple leaf lost at the beach.

another beautiful november day. the sun was a very welcome sight.

we took advavtage and walked on the beach.

29.30 gratitude

O.k. stoked to find a drain even if its not that big and had to try the wheel thing. so much fun, hope i'm not style biting to hard. See a true master at this sort of thing here

I was lost, but found my way eventually. Fall color among the trees.

".....I'm better

So much better now

I see the light, touch the light,

We're together now

I'm better

So much better now

Look to the skies, give me life

We're together now....."

I think i found my Way !!

Yes ! We Can

As I sit here and slowly close my eyes

I take another deep breath

And feel the wind pass through my body

I'm the one in your soul

Reflecting inner light

Protect the ones who hold you

Cradling your inner child

I need serenity

In a place where I can hide

I need serenity

Nothing changes, days go by

Where do we go when we just don't know

And how do we relight the flame when it's cold

Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing

And when will we learn to control

Tragic visions slowly stole my life

Tore away everything

Cheating me out of my time

I'm the one who loves you

No matter wrong or right

And every day I hold you

I hold you with my inner child

I need serenity

In a place where I can hide

I need serenity

Nothing changes, days go by

Where do we go when we just don't know

And how do we relight the flame when it's cold

Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing

And when will we learn to control

Where do we go when we just don't know

And how do we relight the flame when it's cold

Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing

And when will we learn to control

'Serenity' ~Godsmack~

Finding serenity at Oboeru.

I found this pine cone in a client's garden and had to bring it home to photograph. I also found this moss covered broken old brick - which it fit into perfectly.

The tiny mushrooms were so fragile I was worried they wouldn't survive the car ride.

Finding peace does not mean being in a place where there is no noise, trouble or others around you--it is being in the midst of these things and remaining calm within your heart. Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with it.

I was on a hike with a friend in the Rocky Mountains. While at the top, my friend found the sun.

According to GoodRedRoad's comment on my previous shot about my composition i decided to post another one :)

Ghosting on the left was made by the wind and thats not Photomatix mistake !!
