Books in my friends apartment

I visited some family and I really liked the look of the old watch and old books.

Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects has designed the distinctive building which from the outside looks like a large bookcase. The artistic decoration is integrated into the facade as concrete grindings, causing the surface to look like the backs of books. Large blocks in different shades of gray, formed by different pixel patterns, is also an expression of the transition from the analog to the digital age. The decoration was designed by textile artist Grethe Sørensen.

The hot spot of BSSR House, the Lounge hosts the ultimate reading list, is impeccably furnished and a great example of how cool vintage and modern styles can be.

Nothing can be more pleasurable - I call it VIP hospitality - for me than sitting in this room - or should I say library - and reading a(n) (e-)book.

E-books vs Real Books: What’s the verdict?

I’m sure eReaders will make inroads. They serve a useful purpose. But only to a point.

Old books are like old friends. They love to be revisited. They stick around to give advice. They remind you of days gone by. Books, like friends, hang around.
