So, this is my self moc. Always wanted to make a viking. Enjoy :D

Made for BBC 69

------------------

So I decided to remake Dume and Nivawk for BBC 69. I wanted both of these to have action functions in the spirit of the 2015 Bionicle sets. Dume features moving arms using the new gearbox part and Nivawk's wings can open and close similar to the original set!

This is my second build using a few of the new bionicle parts. This was just a quick mock-up to use the large white weapon parts.

This was made quickly at Brickfair NJ. It was made with a very limited selection of parts including the new 2015 Bionicle masks.

my newest MOC

made around 7 hours

surely my fastest built for rahis

A small character I made with the new Bionicle 2015 parts, mainly the Protector of Earth and Protector of Jungle.

A large character I made using the new Bionicle 2015 parts, mainly Lewa, Pohatu, and Protector of Earth.

He is equipped with electric claws and energy whips.

About 2 months ago I learned of the return of Bionicle, and was lucky enough to have LEGO send me a selection of the new parts to play around with before the unveiling at New York Comic Con. So, I tested out the versatility of the parts they sent me to see what the parts can do outside of the intended purpose. This model came together as I figured out possible techniques. I never gave it a name, just called it a weird bird.

If you haven't seen the new models, you should check them out: www.lego.com/en-us/bionicle

This is my first post on Flickr! Some may have already seen my self-MoC on MOCpages, but now he is also here!

another pic of my selfMOC

So this is the last photo of Cepheus, that I add here. Another view of him...

Description: I added a picture from back to show spine.

Description: It doesn't make any sense to me to write a biography for my character as from what I've heard from NYCC this is a complete reboot of the Bionicle universe. So I want to tell you about why I decided to make it like that, to create a new design instead of making a revamp.

I chose this size due to the tradition of making the main villains big and massive, like Makuta in the Mask of Light. It's a humanoid as I wanted to avoid any comparisons to Rahi and animals. This also shows its intelligence. The claws on its hands and feet as well as the spine, the big horns and its teeth were added to make it look more aggressive. I've spent a lot of time on details as all the body parts of this MOC were made from scratch. The body of the MOC is probably the only exception - the base for it is three Mata bodies. I used tons of original Bionicle parts and pieces to show that my OC was a Bionicle, I also wanted to support the LEGO designers in their effort to bring mechanisms and other Bionicle classic aspects back. I hope I've managed to do it.

Any comments are welcome...

No, that's not the self-moc I was working on recently but only a placeholder for it. The photo was taken at Bionicle fans meeting in Moscow.

This trio features my own standard matoran build. You may've seen it earlier on my flickr.

Built for BBC #69 on BZPower.

my newest MOC, use lots of technic connection (use only 4 joints of balljoint)

it's really hard to pose but i finnaly manages to make it stand on it's own, since it's super lumpy and all,

but still i've a great time making it

the name should explain the pose and proportion

For those of you that don't know, Matteo is my official SelfMOC. He got some updates not too long ago, and I apparently forgot to upload any of the photos to here. So I'm doing that now.

For a fare more in depth look at Matteo please visit is Deviantart Detail page. You can also find an overview of his bio as his backstory is quite extensive. I don't even have it completely figured out. :P

About The MOC

BioNerdly Is a MOC I built for Tommy Williamson's contest on his website Bricknerd called "Nerdvember." Typically, MOCers take Nerdly, which was designed by Tommy and instructions supplied, and they put their own spin on the design. Sometimes they deviate from it and I chose the same. Going in I knew I didn't want to make the standard Nerdly component. Luckily for me I had just gotten set 42029- Customized Pick-up Truck. Its many panel elements came in very handy for building Nerdly in a larger technic oriented style. The timing was perfect to. I had the set together long enough to be ready to let it go.

Getting into the build I knew I was going to need Nerdly regardless of what direction I took so I set out to get him done ASAP. I had an empty box with most of him there. I ended up having to make a Bricklink order to get the red rims that make up his Studs. It was well worth it. I really like how those came out.

After I got the Nerdly portion figured out I struggled a little bit on what direction to go with him. After having a conversation with my dad he suggested something that inspired me and I knew what I was going to do. I was determined to turn my Technic/Constraction "BioNerdly into a Bobble-head figure! I'm quite pleased with how that function turned out. I know people have made bobbleheads before, but I wonder if anyone's made one that actually bobbled. =P

After that I knew I wanted to give him a cute Chibi-esque body. This proved to be most of the challenge in the MOC because I had to build him sturdy enough to hold up his big wobbly head, hence the ratchet liftarm-joints in his legs. Shapewise he's slightly modeled off of Tommy, who's not a thin guy. Its okay *pats stomach* neither am I. I also thought him having a bit of a belly would be more indicative of most nerds. We're an inactive bunch. We like our snacks and stay inside all day doing indoor nerd stuff.

Personally, this is one of my favorite MOCs that I've built in a while. He's so adorable and fun to play with. I'm glad he's mine because if it wasn't I would want him. He's so cute. His glasses can also be expressive. I had a video showcasing this but the internet died while uploading it and I had to abort it. I might post this on youtube or flickr in addition to the one already there.

There's no bio for this MOC since he's just a recreation of Tommy's Mascot. Thank you for reading, commenting, favoriting, watching, etc.

a highly musical gentleman,

an entry for PO mascot contest

Couldn't focus so I did a speed run. Wanted to do this one for a while now, so I just went with it.

Time: 2 hours exactly

Very limited pieces (on vacation, brought my mobile stock with me)

Strictly bionicle

The new armor piece (left) fits nicely with many types of blades from the old sets.

The masks (right) can circle around the new 6 loader. I wanted to make a motorcycle but don't have enough masks.

C&C wanted and appreciated :)

The second one is my self-MOC Oblivious, the two others are bad guys and the scythe was made for the fun. If you have ideas for heads designs or you want to criticize, share your thoughts in the comments ;)

Araxi was once a Protector of the Earth Tribe, but when he donned the Mask of Fear, it transformed his body and warped his mind. Now he terrorizes all those he encounters, shapeshifting into the form of whatever they fear most.

(BFTGM Entry)

A mech! I never make mechs!

And it's out of BIONICLE! O:

But ye. Planning to keep it together. :D

A bionicle dragonfly. :D

An entry into BL3.

I've just added some more masks to the shop, so go and check those out. Mostly failures from trying to match teal and purple, but they are rather pretty. There are some accurate purple parts in there, including an Ignika.

Very strong Rahi. You better run if you see him - he's very dangerous!

Just a lone, winter-themed MOC...

About the MOC

Akrida is Greek for Grasshopper(Spelled ακρίδα and pronounced Akrilla). I went with Greek because in ancient Greece the Grasshopper was a sign of nobility and wisdom. In Chinese culture the grasshopper is seen as an omen of fertility and good luck, especially in having a son, which is highly valued in Chinese families. Though I liked the Greek name more so Akrida it is.

The inspiration for Akrida came over time. After dismantling Relik I had the idea to build a Steampunk themed frog with a rider. After considering that several MOCers have made frogs before, like Welcometothedarksyde's Wrebbit, I thought on what else I could make that would fit the concept and I thought of a grasshopper. Then I looked up "Bionicle Grasshopper" and more generically "bionicle insect" on various places and found that no one had built a grasshopper yet(at least that I found), so that settled it for me. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to make a rider for this thing. Its wasn't exactly built with having a rider in mind. Though that's sort of how I would go about it, create animal->build saddle around animal, just like real life. If I do make a rider for it, I've already got some ideas on how to make the saddle so that it "fits" the Grasshopper mount. The rider itself is still a mystery to me.

Bio

canonical note

Biosector01 mentions a "Grasshopper-like" rahi that Takua fights in Ga-wahi. While no other mention of any Grasshopper creatures are mentioned, there is at least one canonical Grasshopper Rahi in the bionicle universe. The Wiki also refers to them as "cliff Bug" which I will say is what they're commonly referred to in the bionicle world by sentient being.

"Cliff Bugs as they're more commonly referred to are insect-like rahi that inhabit a few different territories within the Matoran Universe and Spherus Magna(post migration). They can be found in wet bioms like Ga-wahi, and the swamps of Le-wahi.  They typically like moist well vegetated areas.

Akrida are a unique type of Cliff Bug in that they grow substantially larger than average cliff bugs. This makes them much more formidable in the wild and moves them higher up on the food chain. Akrida are favored amongst the Le-Matoran who like to make use of animal mounts where ever possible. Some Le-matoran prefer to ride Gukko birds, but some prefer Akrida for their ability to traverse land, while also being able to leap great distances to the point that it almost seems like they can fly as well. Smaller cliff bugs can fly, but due to their larger size, Akrida cannont. Because both rahi are kept in stables and captivity, they co-habitate quite peacefully and often times form bonds.

Being Herbivores, they don't attack other animals unless provoked. Though when they are, they make a loud hissing noise as a warning. They will bite with their large mandibles and attack with the spikes on the back of their legs. Neither of these are meant for attacking prey so they're not lethal per say, but can still cause injury or death in extreme situations. Average Cliff bugs are preyed on quite often by most other rahi in the wild. Akrida are still prone to being preyed on, but a lot less due to their relative size and ability to leap great distances. This keeps them alive most of the time. Only truly apex predators stand a chance of making Akridas a meal.

I’ve worshipped Seltiast for as long as I can remember, a divine one who forged our path and brought meaning to our fragile lives". "I come from a time of ancients where allies would fall to their knees in reverence and respect for one another, and when I awoke the island I knew had advanced beyond my understanding". "I have heard rumors of the dreadful monster Commundus who has become a sign of good luck, however the brother I once knew was merely an omen of death". I’ve encounted many outsiders who share frightening stories of what the island of Astrea has become, though frightening at first i’ve come to rather enjoy exorcisms.

Built for BBC #69 on BZPower.

Yep, I posted the WIP and finished MOC in the same day. This morning, this MOC was nothing more than a pile of blue and tan pieces on my floor, then I put it together a little so what I had stayed together in the WIP shot, and I couldn't stop (the fact that building is more fun than homework probably helped).

Silas was built mostly as just a color scheme test, which turned out pretty good. I haven't worked out his story (I still haven't decided if I want him to be male), but I'm thinking Toa stuck serving the Dark Hunters (or other malevolent faction) finally escaping onto Spherus Magna to start a new life. He wields a battle axe to defend himself from wandering creatures and vengeful Hunters, but even he doesn't know what element he is (Rahi control? Sand? Mercury?).

I hope to build a vehicle for him, partially because he's a fairly simple MOC and seems like he needs something more, and NickonAquaMagna is running a contest for vehicle designs to put into the next season of Nova Orbis over on BZP. It's a great comic and I would love to contribute: www.bzpower.com/board/topic/11507-bionicle-nova-orbis-new...

About the MOC

Tombo is a quick MOC I made for July's Part Challenge. The seed part is the Exo force arms/fingers that we commonly use in Constraction MOCing. I figured there wasn't a whole lot to do to try and be overly innovative with this part, I feel like this part's usefulness has been exploited many times over by great MOCers by now, so I focused on making good use of other parts, like the "Flag" elements and the old style Technic Gears to further employ a gear motif in this small adorable MOC. :meow:

"Tombo" is the Japanese word for Dragonfly.

Bio

Tombo is a rare breed of Dragonfly Rahi that is distantly related to the Nui-Rama. These creatures are much smaller than the Nui-Rama and also a lot less vicious and dangerous. While the Nui-Rama pose serious threats to Matoran and Turaga, Tombos are only a minor nuisance, but can be a significant threat in a group. They typically don't attack Mattoran unless provoked and even then one can fend them off with a single attack. The key difference in their demeanor is that they are far less aggressive towards other creatures their size or larger, where as the Nui-Rama will prey on Matoran and turaga. Because they're too small to ride and too unpredictable in flight, Matoran don't use Tombos for transportation or beasts of burden. and because they prey on other insect rahi and pests, Matoran leave them alone for the most part.

Because of their smaller size, they are prayed on by Nui-rama and the Nui-rama's natural predators. Those who have studied them have observed that Tombos seem more intelligent than their larger more aggressive counterparts. They tend to know where to hide if Nui-rama or Ranama are around. They are good at scouting and residing around smaller bodies of water that are too insignificant for their natural predators. It is said that their superior intelligence is what keeps these smaller rahi alive out in the wild. Even though they appear more intelligent than some rahi, they still don't make very good Matoran pets as they like to fly around a lot which can be quite destructive in closed quarters.

Like the Nui-Rama, they lived primarily in Le-wahi and Le-Metru before the reformation of Spherus Magna where they migrated to like all the rest of the inhabitants of The Matoran Universe.

Rare coloring

Tombos come in many different colors in the wild, though the rarest color variant are those with gold in them. They've only been recorded to show as white and gold, black and gold, and orange and gold. Any of these rare variants of tombos are highly sought after by traders, merchants and archivists for safe keeping.

About the MOC

Vhisora is one of my oldest MOCs, and has stayed unchanged for a considerable amount of time. In fact, I believe this MOC has gone the longest without change of all my MOCs. The last time I altered this MOC was in 2007 to give it additional armoring and the Mahri tube that connects its sword to its body. Since them, I haven't changed a thing on it. Now I'm not sure if I should honor that heritage of keeping this design, or update it. I initially had three of this kind of MOC, two combining two of the 6 original elements. Fire/stone, Water/air, Earth/Ice. I dissolved this set, changed the Water/Air into strictly water, and incorporated it into the set that became my anti toa series that I eventually dubbed The Insurgence of Darkness.

Bio

Vhisora is a genderless autonomous cyborg prototype created by Makuta Mutran. It is not a fully thinking or feeling entity though. It was initially designed for submersible combat and surveillance, but could also double as an infantry unit on land. The prototype was never put into full production for the army of the Brotherhood of Makuta because while it is obedient, it didn't interpret Mutran's commands properly. It had a tendency to not take prisoners of any kind. This turned out to be a major problem when he needed to interrogate prisoners or used it to fight other Makuta. Having not been able to write the faulty protocol out of the programing, Mutran put Vhisora into dormancy. It stayed there for many years until Remaku paid Mutran a visit and took it off his hands. Remaku now uses Vhisora when tactless muscle and brute unyielding force is needed. If Vhisora is engaged in combat it won't stop until its target is killed or it is damaged too severely to function. This was another reason Mutran deemed the experiment a failure, it wouldn't take to any self preservation protocol. "Its like it has a will to kill, and only that. No will to live, no will to survive, just a cold savage desire to destroy."~Mutran explaining Vhisora to Remaku
