Bendigo, Victoria, Australia

This area was once a major gold mine for about 40 years from 1860's. Now the gold is in the production of the grape vines seen on the hill with a wind mill to help prevent frost damage. Some cattle grazing and a hawk watching them to be seen too.

Taken on an early drive while the rest of the family slept in.

Sunrise on the Murrumbidgee flood plain at Gundagai. This railway viaduct was completed in 1902.

I was looking back over some photos I took a few weeks back and almost deleted this one but thought I'd work on it and see if it could be saved and I'm glad I didn't hit the delete key!

This one is the Bendigo Creek running behind Lake Weeroona in Bendigo.

Tulip season in Bendigo

Everytime I go to Bendigo I say: "I should've brought my camera and taken a picture of the church". Finally I did

Last night after an outside hours deployment for work that ended at 11pm I tried a few night/star photos in Bendigo, too much light to see or capture many stars but a few are visible above Ulumbarra Theatre.

Have you ever looked up and seen some of the amazing roofs in Bendigo?, this one is the Hotel Shamrock taken hand held from Rosalind Park through a gap in the trees.

The famous canal that run across Bendigo town centre

An absolutely monstrous building in the centre of Bendigo. A stunning sight to behold sitting on top of the hill.

Operated continuously from 1860 until its closure in 1973.

This one from a few weeks back when I decided to catch the later bus home to capture the sunset, glad I did, managed to get a few nice shots in the 20 minutes I had.
