The sun was on its way to setting over Manhattan, creating a light orange hue in this view from the Top of the Rock, featuring the Empire State Building and the Bank of America Tower (in the foreground) and the One World Trade Center further South (in the background).
A caminho das seis da tarde, o sol estava a pôr-se sobre Manhattan, criando um tom alaranjado claro nesta vista a partir do Top of the Rock, com o Empire State Building e a Bank of America Tower (em primeiro plano) e o One World Trade Center mais a Sul (em segundo plano).
A rapariga em primeiro plano parece estar à procura de alguma coisa na mala. Aposto que procurava o telemóvel para tirar uma fotografia a esta bela praça :)
Esta é a Praça do Comércio, antigamente denominada Terreiro do Paço. Do lado esquerdo, o Arco do Triunfo da Rua Augusta. Os edifícios amarelos pertencem ao complexo ministerial que delimita a praça a Norte, Este e Oeste. Do lado direito, encontra-se a estátua equestre do rei D. José I, em que o seu cavalo é simbolicamente representado a esmagar as cobras que se cruzam no seu caminho.
Ao fundo, no topo da colina e entre as árvores, está o Castelo de São Jorge.

This plaza is Praça do Comércio (Commerce Square), formerly know as Terreiro do Paço (Palace Square). On the left, you can see the amazing triumphal arch of Rua Augusta. On the right is the statue of King Joseph I on his horse, symbolically crushing snakes on his path.
In the background, atop the hill and among the trees, is the Castle of São Jorge.
