The Pink Ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness. Pink ribbons, and the colour pink in general, identity the wearer or promoter with the breat cancer brand and express moral support for woman with breast cancer (by wiki).

Mt Fuji shot with a 35mm lens from the Kawaguchiko Bridge
This is the Nandai-mon Gate (東大寺南大門) on the way to the Todai-Ji Temple, with the Huge Buddha Statue. I took this photo while walking, as I saw this very interesting view of the tourists surrounded by the gate and the nature. Nara park, Japan.

The shrine is built on this tiny tiny island called Aoshima (Green/Blue Island). While the shinto shrine itself looks like many other shrines you can see throughout Japan except the plants looking very tropical, almost like South East Asia. Although it was during winter we went there, it was very green, lush and warm.
What perhaps, made this shrine more famous is that this island is surrounded by "Ogre's Washboard" (or 鬼ã®æ´æ¿¯æ¿) that is a natural formation of rocks all around the island that looks like huge washboard. Actually this happens all over the coast line of Miyazaki prefecture. I believe the one in Aoshima is one of the most famous ones.

I could only imagine the number of hours spent by the dancers to perfect their routines for this event. Everyone was so enthusiastic and crazy - the good kind of crazy of course!
