This was the first time I've skipped the amazing Senganmon rock formation in Izu and explored the local Kumomi area. Cold, crisp winter air provides more opportunities to see Mt Fuji from Izu.

The first park established in Asahikawa City. Located in the city center and serving as a base for cultural arts, it is used for various events together with the adjacent Asahikawa River Line Park. The names of nearby places are written as “Tokiwa”, but the park name is “Tokiban”. This is based on the theory that the mistake made in writing when the garden name monument was set up in 1928 (Showa 3) was decided as the name of the park, in 1919 (Taisho 8), because the nearby town's name was written as "Jobandori" on a map issued by the Land Surveying Division (currently the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan). There is a theory that this was adopted. Today, the sun came back out to give vibrant to foliage colour that just the beginning in Hokkaido, Japan. Tokiwa Park is just a local park at Asakikawa. However, I felt the peaceful, clean, neat and quiet throughout the whole stay in this park.

The day we did the longest hike ever.
We "practiced" before going to Patagonia every weekend in California so that we can do this hike. We knew that it was going to be a long long hike, and we did it!
Perhaps because we take lots of photographs, it might've taken longer than other hikers do, but who cares, we started hiking at 8 am on that day, under the burning sun we finished the hike by walking back to the town of El Chaltén at 7:30 p.m...
The highlight of the hike was definitely the mountain of "El Chaltén", commonly known as "Mt. Fitz Roy". We hiked to the top of the mountain ranges, then we got to see this beautiful emerald green lake in front of the majestic El Chalten.
This was certainly one of the moments that brought us the greatest joy of life. Of course, more and more photos to come...

This is the Nandai-mon Gate (東大寺南大門) on the way to the Todai-Ji Temple, with the Huge Buddha Statue. I took this photo while walking, as I saw this very interesting view of the tourists surrounded by the gate and the nature. Nara park, Japan.

Yatto yatto sa!
This is another from the warm up day for the 58th Koenji Awaodori. Hard light into the 135 DC lens makes this ultra soft contrast that's a bit difficult to manage, but I really enjoyed capturing this formation and the surrounding light.
The group here is Edokko Ren, one of the amazing local Koenji teams that's been dancing for decades.
