The 9th annual IMT Des Moines Marathon was held on Sunday. More than 7,700 runners, a record number, took part in this year's race. We live in between the four-mile and the eighteen-mile markers on the route, so we make it a habit most years to get up and watch the race from a couple of different vantage points.
I've posted several photos from the marathon, but I wanted something a little different for my 365 project photo. This turned out more-or-less how I hoped it would, with a couple of shoes and a piece of the road in focus but most of the image in motion, plus was happy that the sun was still low in the sky and at the runners' backs.
