    This is what 36 cumecs (cubic metres per second) looks like on the Ohau weir. After last week's rain event, the storage lakes are over full, and some water has to be spilled.

    There's quite a dump of snow on the Ohau mountain range in the background.

    - 11 x exposure bracket shots (0..-2..+2 EV) handheld using Canon EOS 50D (33 shots in total)

    Photomatix
    - tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

    Photoshop Elements
    - stitched 2D panorama
    - filter with Topaz Adjust to pop colours
    - add 1 layer to adjust brightness and contrast
    - add 1 layer to adjust saturation
    - enhance with unsharp mask
