Wow, i'm not even a fan but i knew who this was immediately. The colors are perfect! You really couldn't have asked for a better scheme. His blue shirt and skin tones against all that magenta. The clarity is right on as well. Highly energetic man. I like how it seems you were on the same level as him, instead of shooting below him. Also, nice capture from the audience.

Thanks for your kind words sol!
I was standing right in the middle of the 2nd row. Since I am 6.4 and was using a camera with a swivel monitor I was able to hold it up in the air and to shoot from this almost face-to-face angle. The security did not bother at all. So I was able to take pictures for almost 1.5 hours without disturbance (besides the crowd that went absolutely beserk!).

The balance of front and back lights was perfect throughout the entire show. Since then I do not have encountered another venue with such perfect lighting conditions.

By the way: it was the first concert I went with a camera and it really got me hooked!

what a lucky guy you have been, to take such a close shot. very strange, that security didn't bother to stop you.
a powerful sweaty shot of a great artist. the blurred hand adds more power, the light and the colours are great.
congratulations

AC/DC is very supportive to the fans. The security was adviced by the management not to interfer. My camera was checked upon entry and I was allowed in.
You will find countless pictures of this concert in the web. I saw hundreds of cameras during the show. Well, most of the guy did not have a photographic background though ...

Awesome shot!
What great one you got with the G3. I was suffering with my G9 last night. Noise is a big problem in high ISO with that one.

t.klick  Pro User  says:

Well, the G3 was even worse. I could work out most of the noise with "Noise Ninja". Have you tried a noise reduction software yet?

I do not use the G9 above ISO 400.
