Can DO!

Taking a dip in the Yeak Loam crater lake (on top of a mountain) in Ban Lung (Ratanakiri, Cambodia) with the CANDO team after our short visit to some Kreung villages.

The lake is incredibly beautiful and it felt mysterious yet welcoming. We thought we saw a Loch Ness/ giant snake like creature swimming in the center after we got out of the lake. After a lot of excitement and closer inspection, it turned out to be a duck.

That was disappointing but it's ok cause I like ducks.

We had the most fun hanging out with the CANDO team during our 1-month stay at Cambodia.

Photos for you....

Two years ago around this time, I made a very difficult decision to follow my dreams and not do what was expected of me (get a proper corporate job and such).

Joining Elevyn at its birth made me able to work on something I feel strongly about, which is to empower indigenous craftspeople.

Although I've been taking photos for a few years, it was only when I started doing photography for Elevyn that I felt meaning and purpose to why I'm doing it.

Merry making

A drinking session in Kg Mengkawago that went on from evening till the next evening.

The rule goes as such, a bunch of people will play the gongs and you should drink up to a cup (or the little blue bucket) of rice wine before the song ends.

The best part about the gongs is that, you don't know how dizzy you are (whoaaa) until the music stops. But, it's ok cause the gongs go on all night long.
