I see this picture is © and not (CC), but can we use it for our podcast ID3 art? It’s a non-commercial non-profit free show and in an upcoming episode we tell the listeners to turn off our show and enjoy the people around them. www.backofthebuspodcast.blogspot.com/

Very few cashiers truly want to interact with their customers but the simple fact remains that it is rude to be otherwise occupied while requiring another's complete attention, i.e. ordering your food at a restaurant while on the phone. Pimp sign.

Wow! What makes that cashier so interesting that I would want to interact with them? A little vainglorious don't you think?

I used to have a cashier job and the less I conversed with customers the better. And even now I'd prefer it if clients didn't want to be talked to! What makes me so interesting to them and vice versa?

Pretty funny, but It's kind of stupid to assume that everyone listens to their iPod because they're self important hipsters or they don't care about talking to you.

I use my iPod to help with social anxiety (which if you actually have it, you know how crippling it can be socially). Plenty of people I know use it for the same reason. Sometimes situations where just simply talking to someone can be really stressful or even frightening, so having an iPod to fall back on and make you feel better shouldn't brand you as a dick.

Plus, I don't have anything terribly interesting to say anyway. :P
