First off, I'd like to wish a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all my Flickr friends.
At the same time I'd like to thank to all of you who took the time to view, comment and/or fave my photos. Your presence, encouragement is much appreciated.
I've became a member on Flickr on April 17. 2005. It's not even a year, but my gosh...what a 8 months it has been!
I've always liked to take photos on vacations and eventually learned of and became a member of Flickr...and bought my first DSLR...I am indebted to you and to the credit card company :))
These are just a collection of my most favorited ones...anywhere from 2-14...however, I am very proud of them,
My next post will be MY all time favorite, wich doesn't correspond to
'yours'...not that I don't like 'your' choice.

Great collection, very nice mosiac. I would have guessed maybe the bridge and the red shirt but you said it is not in this group, I will have to guess again, but you have so many great photo's, Sylvia Have a Happy and Safe New Year, thanks for all your kind comments during 2005.

Many of these shots I have indeed faved, Sylvia. Thanks for compiling this beautiful mosaic so we can see them all together.
Oh, phooey. Don guessed already. I would have said the bridge, too, because it's my favorite (I was born in Brooklyn, by the way.)
Thank you for all those wonderful reminders of Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, which used to be my second home.

OK, OK...So here is the 'new and improved' version: being still in the holiday spirits, those who send me their name and address and the desired size of the photo, I'll send a copy to them (sorry, only within the US.) It's not a bad deal...I'll have it done professionally :))

get out. you joined April 17?? i joined April 13. no wonder we have so much in common. :) lovely work, syl. and you have grown so much ~ i don't see how you can continually top yourself, but you do! can't wait to see your images in 2006!!

Well...actually...I joined a couple of month earlier as a free member. I've uploaded 1 photo and used up 1/4 or so of my upload limit and I got disappointed. Didn't come back until the 17th of April, when I decided that this was just too good of a thing to miss out on...so I paid for it. The following (!!!) day I got an e-mail from Flickr that because I was a loyal (?) member my membership will be doubled plus I could sign up 2 people. The rest is history. My only regret is, that I gave my my free memberships to 2 people who don't use Flickr at all...unless they come to see my pics...
