Shield

I'm trying to work out how I need to wire my led matrix from Sparkfun to the Unsped shield to get the LED's to light up. I;ll worry about buttons later, just keen to get the LED's lighting. Look at the schematics and the sparkfun button boards, I was assuming that B8 and A9 would be the GND and the Blue4 for the top left button. With that assumption, I was hoping to be able to turn on the top left LED in monome test and get some sort of different current from these two, but I don't seem to get anything different.
