Aeshna viridis

Green Hawker

First time I see this species. It is rare in the Netherlands, but there are a few known populations near the city where I live.

This however, is from a location where (as far as I could check) this species has no previous sightings. And it is even closer to the city than all other known locations.

Anyway. I am very happy that I saw this species, and happier that I was able to take a reasonable photo.
