Where Did All The Water Go?

Where Did All The Water Go? by ::Kevin Greene::.
Falls Lake In Durham County, NC

Falls Lake is a man made reservoir north of Raleigh that serves as Raleigh's primary water reservoir. Currently, it's about 8 feet below normal. It was remarkable standing on this boat ramp and looking out over the mostly dry lake bed. On the horizon, against the backdrop of the trees, dust is being kicked up by the stiff winds. Kate, after seeing this, will have an easier time understanding why we ask her to try to save as much water as possible.

Great shot of a scary situation. I saw the same thing at Norris Lake in TN, you could walk on the dry lake bed.
