now, to eat! - #336 - December 13, 2007
Finally, I get to enjoy the fruit of my labor. The guacamole set has the recipe and step-by-step instructions.
I created this picture for the Epic Edits "Shoot Yourself" photo project. It's amazing how many shots I had to take to get one that looked halfway decent. The setup is this: I placed a mirror against the backsplash behind my stove. The range hood has halogen lights in it, which provide the majority of the lighing. I then ducked down a bit and leaned into the light, grabbed the chip with guac, pointed the camera roughly at my nose, tried to get a natural expression on my face, and pushed the button. Then I would stand up, look at the camera, grimace because my aim was off, the lighting was wrong, or my expression was stupid. And then I'd try all over again. CommentsBrian Auer
