River Llugwy

What caused these streaks? Leaves floating past?
it was bubbles and froth from the waterfall further upstream
I'd like to see just his bit.. maby also a bit of rock so you know it's reflection.
River Llugwy by Stu Worrall.
A long exposure of the River Llugwy, North Wales. Taken with two Kood ND filters (*2, *4), an ND Grad and circ polariser. there is a small waterfall at the rock in the centre of the picture.

Canon 350d and Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 Ex lens on a Manfrotto tripod delicately balanced on a rock over the water!

8 seconds at F22. 'River Lugwy' On Black version is better for viewing :)

It's a great shot stu - great colour and sharpness, and wonderful texture throughout. The angle it's at is a good touch too, imo.

Maybe you should invest in an ND8 so you don't overbalance your camera stacking 2s and 4s up like this... :)

thanks all, looks like it was worth getting wet waiting for the rain to stop!

John, youre right about the filters, i had three on plus the circ pol. need and ND8 or above. the tripod was resting on a rock at the edge of the DEEP water too :-0

I'd really like to see a picture of the precariously balanced camera that was necessary to take this shot!

For me, the subtle white streaks and the reflected trees really set this apart from other long exposure water shots. Other than that, I'm not sure I can say anything that's not been said already - it is an absolute cracker.
