Old Route 66

    Old Route 66 in California - we were driving between the Mojave National Preserve and Joshua Tree.

    I'd been looking out along the way for a road sign to photograph to prove I drove Route 66, but there was absolutely nothing, till I drove over this. I didn't immediately stop, thinking, 'Oh, there'll be another," and then I realised that this was the first I'd seen in about 10k, and did a u-turn, pulled over, and pranced about in the middle of the road taking photographs.
