To jump out of your skin is an idiom meaning to be surprised, to be shocked. May 2009 bring us all many good pleasant surprises and shocks, though, without the literal jumping out of our skins!
Body Worlds (German title: Körperwelten) is a traveling exhibition of preserved human bodies and body parts that are prepared using a technique called plastination to reveal inner anatomical structures. The exhibition's developer and promoter is a German anatomist named Gunther von Hagens, who invented the plastination technique in the late 1970s at the University of Heidelberg.
Once you overcome the 'euuw' factor, it really is quite interesting, and I strongly recommend visiting, there is so much more to see!

I saw a similar exhibit in the Detroit Science Museum. It was created by people from China. All the male bodies were posed in athletic positions, until I got to the lone full-body woman. Here was a skinless female, wearing clear-plastic high heels and carrying a shopping bag. Sigh. (I'm jealous you got a picture. No cameras allowed at the show I attended.)
