I got an SMS from the store today, telling me my new frames were ready to be picked up. So here they are. My new frames.

This picture is part of the 366 project, in which the photographer takes a picture of himself every day for a year. See more pictures from the project.

Great idea. Have you tried focusing through your glasses not on them? That must look great as well.

@theowl84: No, I didn't try that, I wanted the focus to be on the frames them selves. But I guess it would be hard to get the focus exactly through the glasses. Focusing is pretty hard on selfportraits as it is.

@everybody else: thanks for the comments (and faves)

Don't know if it would work, but what if you focus without the glasses and then you get the glasses in front? That would give detail on yourself, not the glasses. Is that what you guys mean by through the glasses? [or harder, like really through the glasses' lenses...?]

@vagabundo: I was talking about through the glasses' lenses. To focus behind the glasses (around them), is a lot easier, but then both the frames, and everything inside the frames, are out of focus. And that is not at all what I wanted with this shot.

Also I have different correction (one whole diopter difference) on the two lenses, makinng this shot have four alternative focus planes (left lens, right lens, the frame/hand, and outside the frames).

I think the final effect would be very good, even more with the different dioptries.

Why not trying with someone else? It's a great idea!
