Klein bottle (procrastination)

Klein bottle (procrastination) by Pragmagraphr.
I shot this Klein bottle in a dark room, and illuminated it using a red laser pointer.
The Klein bottle has a little water inside (i.e. outside). View On Black

A mathematician named Klein
Thought the Möbius band was divine.
Said he: «If you glue
The edges of two,
You'll get a weird bottle like mine.»

The Klein bottle is a non-orientable 2-manifold that actually needs four dimensions to live in. But I've got the next best thing: a three dimensional immersion. Ok, so it's got a self-intersection, it's not perfect, but I think we can all agree that it's more easily available than the fourth dimension.

This thing actually has only one side, so its inside is also its outside.

Hmmm, looks a lot like this plane made from stainless steel and pressed or molded into a cup shape:

Haha! Nice one, artgeek. Mine is non-orientable, though. Also, yours is homeomorphic to a torus (it has a handle).
