Cajitas de Olinalá

Cajitas de Olinalá

The famous “cajitas de Olinalá”, small lacquered boxes, are renowned worldwide for the high quality of their decorations and their pleasant smell. These works are made by hand from a very special wood, which comes from the olinaloe tree, native to Mexico. The wood from these trees has a natural perfume and by transforming it in a “cajita”, or small box, its wonderful fragrance is conserved.

Flor de Isla Negra

I found this flower on the garden of Pablo Neruda's house located on Isla Negra, Chile. It was very small, and yet so beautiful. Flowers like this might have been Neruda's inspiration for his poems. Scientific name : Dimorphotheca
