I'm back from Thailand! I'm also really going to try and get back into flickr - I used to love it, a lot! Also - I've had my photo's published three times now in a local magazine for girls, yeah that's pretty sweet. I'm just about to be commissioned from my YWAM DTS - God did some incredible things in Thailand and I'm so excited what he's going to in the next year! I LOVED taking pictures in Thailand - oh my, it was incredible... I think I might be getting the travel bug.. not only are the people super friendly, they love photographs. As we went around the circle being introduced to these Shan Burmese refugee's this little guy was proud to say in very broken English "My name is Cu mon. I like apple." We spent a few hours playing english games with them - and taught them how to use a yoyo.

These Burmese refugee's, the Shan people, have been displaced from their home because of terrible living conditions. They told us that in Burma the conditions were worse... as I walked into their tin shack, the little girls proudly served me ice water out of their little fridge. I asked God to break my heart for what breaks his.... I left that place feeling so broken, so grateful for what I have.

I know one of the biggest rules of flickr is never upload a photo that isn't your own. Well.. I just broke it. I didn't take this.. but I was there when it was taken. One day soon I will go and take my own photo of this amazing tree - but until then, Eleisha's photo will suffice my longing for amazing dead tree's! I desktopped this picture - it's love! Ps.
