Wrestling with the seatbelt
This was a problem we faced every time we got into the car. She could not remember how to use the seatbelt, and had to figure it out over and over again. I tried not to help unless she got frustrated or I was in a hurry. The Alzheimer's Association guidebooks warn against "learned helplessness." By helping your loved one too much, you can lower their self-esteem, because they think they are incapable of doing things for themselves.
So I would watch Ginny battle with the seatbelt, and wait.
