I have a serious weakness for sweethearts and couldn't wait for February this year.

C is for Cat in the photo, again

Camera: Polaroid One600
Film: The Impossible Project PX-680 Color Shade / First Flush

If you have trouble getting your family or pets to pose for you, whip out a polaroid camera. They all come running. It makes me laugh how George, the cat, runs away the minute he sees the digital camera but wants to be in the picture when the One600 comes out.

This one has warmer tones than the last (the first). It might be the location and light, but I also warmed it up a bit under my arm as it was developing, and according to a video I watched on The Impossible Project's site, literal warmth translates to warm colors with this film.

B is for Brave, Beautiful, and Beloved

B is for Brave, Beautiful, and Beloved

(my younger daughter, who is all that, and George, one of our two cats)

Camera: Polaroid One600
Film: Impossible Project PX 680 Color Shade / First Flush

My very first photo with my mother-in-law's polaroid camera from the '90s and my very first photo with Impossible Project film.

The lighting and location weren't great, but we were excited to try the camera and film out, and first photos are always special, even if they're not perfect.

I've been doing some sorting through the archives and found this lovely message from a visit to Kripalu Yoga last May.

I'm not usually a big fan of rotated photos, but I felt it worked better here. I think my hesitancy to post a rotated photo was what kept me from posting this last year.

No fence photo from me today. This might be the first non-fence Friday for me since I started a few years ago.
