Om
Was not feeling well today & the rain was stopping me from venturing outside with the camera, so thought of trying something in my room.
Today I got this silver coin as a "new year's gift" from our officer's club. And the coin proved out lucky for me; for today I learned one of the most important lesson of photography, i.e "RAW format is the digital equivalent of the Negative."
As I'm not much versed with the Photoshop, I just adjusted the white balance of the image & learned to add the watermark.
Setup for the image:
I learnt the importance of good lightening from Capt. Suresh (Sir). So i removed the outer cover of my two hard bound books & used one for the background & another for the base of the coin.
I made this arrangement on a table near the window & used my LED torch to create the shadow on the base of the coin. My first experience with the lightening. :)
Camera: Nikon D40,
Lens: 18-55mm kit lens,
Exposure: F/5.6 for 1/50 sec, ISO 400.
No flash was fired, camera hand held.

Kotla at Night
A view from my place.
My camera sensor has a dust spot which appears in the images, so took this one in the RAW format & removed the spot in Photoshop(An easy option till I don't get the sensor cleaned).
Camera: My Nikon D40,
Lens: Default 18-55mm,
Exposure: f/8 for 5 seconds.
Camera resting on a cement base. :)
