this is an image of the twilight on tañon strait from sta. filomena, alegria, cebu, philippines on august 13 2009. it was derived from the original photograph shot by the artist and was processed with the dry brush, accented edges, and angled strokes filters. the image was also texturized in coarse sandstone.

this is an image of the sunset across tañon strait from sta. filomena, alegria, cebu, philippines on march 21 2009. it was derived from the original photograph shot by the artist. a right triangle below the sun was copied and pasted nine times. this was repeated with a triangle above the sun, pasted ten times. the lowest portion of the image was then distorted with the wave filter, and the whole image was twirled. then the center was spherized and the whole image was crosshatched. the image was also texturized in fine sandstone.

Bunches of green lanzones hang from the lower branches of a tree in our garden. I went out after a heavy downpour to check if the fruits did not go down with the rain and I was glad to find out they were still there. The lighting conditions seemed favorable so I took my camera and clicked away. Maybe I was quick enough to catch the rain droplets on the fruits before they finally fell.

As I sat in my digital darkroom I realized I had to focus the subject and blur out the background for some emphasis. Just a few clicks and my desire was fulfilled - for the moment. Nothing compares with really partaking of these seasonals for the last time we had a good fruiting was in 2007. They're still green, holding the promise that they will not go down with the rain.
