Early Start

Early Start

Decided to make an early start this morning and capture the sunrise at Petersfield Lake, Hampshire, the really heavy frost was present on the boating jetty but sadly no mist rising from the lake but at least I found some colour in the sky but glad to get back in the warm for a hot breakfast!

30 second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad filter taken about 30 minutes before sunrise.

Another image from my trip to the Jurassic Coast at Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset last weekend showing the rock ledges highlighted by the afterglow from the sunset and the reflection of the colours in sky on the perfectly still waters of the bay.

I got my passport out again this weekend and visited Kimmeridge, Dorset yesterday, the tide was very low exposing the wonderful rock ledges in the perfectly still bay.

This image was taken about 30 minutes after sunset showing the afterglow in the sky reflecting in the still water and highlighting the rocky ledges.

Beauty In The Sky

Not been out with the camera for a while due to the poor weather conditions on the South Coast of the UK so I thought I would post another sunset image from Sandy Point, Hayling Island, Hampshire taken November last year.

13 second exposure using Lee 0.9 ND grad filter.

Lonely Post

Lonely Post

Bad weather for sunsets yesterday and today looking out of my window at the grey thick clouds so I have posted another long exposure taken last weekend at Sandy Point, Hayling Island, Hampshire.

Not sure if the composition works of the lonely post marking the end of the groyne going out to sea from the beach works, please let me know what you think?

240 second exposure using Lee Big Stopper 10 stop ND filter + Lee 0.9 ND grad filter over the sky.
