1888 Gin and Tonic![]() I set out to take a picture of a slice of lime fruit, but thought that a lime on its own would be a bit boring. And as the only thing I know to use lime fruits for are gin and tonics, I turned it into this wee still life.
I'm not entirely convinced about the composition, but couldn't find a better way of arranging it. Amongst the limiting factors were that I wanted the lime in focus and the props out of focus. So there's a limit to how far away from the setup the camera can be. This resulted in the top of the bottle being cut off, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing? CommentsCanis Major

minus: I would like to see maximum two things in this photo, maybe the glass and the lime, keep it simple, with all this other things in the photo, it gets disturbing.
