This one is about half way done. The picture is underneath and they then fill it with the tessere (the pieces). The lne between the mosaic and the underdrawing is noticiable on the right.

Can you tell me is the picture under the smalti? What do they stick the smalti onto the paper with? is that a temporary sticking so that they then reverse it to stick into a permanet cement? It looks like colour by numbers..
