NYC Highline Billboard Art
@alexiasinclair and I were walking through the meat-packing district and came upon a stairway to what seemed to be an abandoned railway line. I noticed a sign that said NYC Highline Park, and thought surely there isn't a park on an old railway-line.
Sure enough it was.
What an ingenious use of dead space... They've taken an old rail-way and turned it into a walkway surrounded by trees and flowers. Scattered along the route is various artworks, but none as cool as this billboard landscape. No advertising just the stark contrast between nature and man.
