2:28 am. Just like that, holding my finger while I was caressing his chest hoping he could feel calm and finally sleep after all those kind of "convulsions" he strangely had few hours before.

Shushu, 3yo, was the younger from the very first family of budgies (more here) we had as home breeders. Graceful, intelligent and smart budgie, he was the faithful companion of Zorro, his bro from other "litter".

I'll miss Shushu as much as Zorro, who repeatedly sang a single verse the whole day, spending most of the time in the highest part of the small cage looking at the large cage in the hope that his brother could hear and answer him as he always did.
