47th Annual Fashion Show and Audrey H. Lawson IMPACT Awards Luncheon

On Saturday, April 9, 2011, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hilton Americas Hotel for the 47th Annual Fashion Show and Audrey H. Lawson IMPACT Awards Luncheon. Under the theme “The Family, The Village, The Avenue,” the Wheeler Avenue Inner City Visions, Inc. and The Women’s Guild honored Alaina Benford, Genora Kendrick Boykins, Naomi Smith Hines, Charlene Hunter James, and Sandra Organ Solis with the IMPACT Award. Judge Vanessa Gilmore and Jose Grinan named special events chair Nina Smith Women’s Guild Member of the Year at the event that was emceed. Men, women, and children of the church on the runway wore fashions from Dillard’s Galleria. Some in attendance were Wheeler Avenue’s Pastor and First Lady Audrey and Rev. Dr. Marcus Cosby, Pastor Emeritus and former First Lady Audrey and Rev. William Lawson, Women’s Guild President Dr. Rose Austin, Gregory Daniels, Frances Patton, Irene Allen, Susan Bynum, Karen Aubrey, Wanda Kimbrough, LaReisha Reynolds, and Chaney Ledet.
