After our last shoot together and all the criticism that followed my careless use of a wide-angle lens, we both needed to redeem ourselves. We went back to Torrey Pines, and this time the only walking involved was on the soft beach, power-walking to beat the sunset and reach our location.

I am more than satisfied with these photos, and there were so many good ones to choose from, I didn't want to upload them all individually. So here's a three pic set.

I was wondering why she did not post any of the older ones on her account. But these are lovely as well! I love your use of backlighting in the last one. And I'd be interested in seeing a larger rotated version of the middle one, very pretty.

I just bought a 50mm too, it's awesome! haha.

these are really beautiful but i do wish i could see them larger.
i did like the others but these are a huge improvement on the last ones with this model.
i'm going to add you on here by the way even though i have you on myspace and DA, haha. your photos are super amazing and they really inspire me to work harder on my own.
each time you post something is an improvement on the last time you did, you keep getting better at this.

She didn't like the way she modeled that day, and I didn't like the way I photographed her. So there was a mutual dislike for the images.

I have a larger version of this photo posted on my deviantART, if you want to see the middle image bigger. But you'll have to rotate it.

I haven't used my 50mm in so long; I forgot how much I liked it! :)

im not too fond of the lighting except in the middle one. she is a beautiful girl and poses well. i also think they should be separate cuz they have their own unique frame. and it would be easier to view them individually.

StuckWithPins, I looked at the larger versions on dA, and the only thing that strikes me as uncomfortable is the amount of noise. The time of day probably had impact on that, but in the middle one, her skin seems heavily textured and uneven when viewed large because of the noise.

Her eyes are very pretty though, haha.

And what color is her dress? Green, black, or both?

Isn't skin generally textured and uneven? Unless it's made of plastic.
I used to airbrush the hell out of my photos, but I don't see point in doing that anymore. Yeah, there's that unavoidable evening grain in the photos, but on the two different monitors I'm viewing the images on, I don't see it to be a problem. The only image I see too much noise in is the dress of the last photo.

The dress is black.

This actually wasn't meant to be a triptych; just a way for me to save space on Flickr. Haha, but thank you. :)
