The Buddha King of Angkor Wat

Each of the 23 towers of Angkor Thom, one of the largest sub-cities inside Angkor Wat, is covered with these faces. Like many of the remaining ruins, this one was built by king Jayavarman VII, whose face has been combined with Buddha's throughout the city to create a combined royal and religious imposing presence that permeates the city.

crazy shot. the style and color of the picture bonds amazingly well with the old ruins, gives a definite sense of age.

I saw your post today and after looking at the original size of the Angkor Wat picture, I can't explain it either. It looks neat and petty clear, perhaps a UFO!! Much talked about it lately in Arizona and the UK makes you wonder what the heck is that!

This photo takes my breath away. We visited Siem Reap and the temples about 3 years ago and will always cherish the time in the presence of the masterpieces of art.
