A Muse in the Forest

A Muse in the Forest by Stuck in Customs.
And now for something a little different. I rarely do this sort of thing... People ask me all the time to come take family pictures (or weddings and these sorts of things) -- I always regretfully say NO because, well, I never really have a great excuse other than it takes too much energy to do something interesting. Also, sometimes I pretend to be too busy like George in that episode of Seinfeld.

So I had an idea to make something unique and vintage and the muse here was up for it... and she had similar ideas around capturing some moments with her little boy. I'm happy with how these things are turning out...

I have the whole series on my blog at www.stuckincustoms.com

Isn't that funny how people think if you have a big camera and you can shoot an amazing landscape of an exotic foreign place then you'd be perfect to shoot.... a wedding!

Nice work, however.

I like this series, especially whatever treatment you are using. They look like old photographs, but you certainly can't really tell you did much to make them look artifically old. They look genuine.

Wonderful Trey- love the 'running' one especially. I don't understand why that 'rebels' guy comes here every day just to make a negative comment!

This is outstanding. The subject, and the PP are excellent. It's similar to seeing the scene in the remake of lost in space where time is stopped and they pan the room. I want one of those cameras!

Stuck in Customs  Pro User  says:

Thanks you guys... No - I have not gotten the D3 yet. I did put 1K down on the D3X, which is what I am waiting for... I'm still shooting with the D2x for now!
