Farewell Holland

If you want to see how I made this (and how you can too!), visit my HDR Tutorial. I hope it gives you some new tricks!

This was taken my final evening in Holland. I found a remote pastoral area with several olde world windmills. I was the only one around... I got fairly cold waiting for sunset, but I think it was worth it.

I have a lot more pictures from around the Netherlands still unprocessed, but I look forward to sharing them with you in coming weeks. I hope you enjoy this one.

Yay! This is great! First of all its a HDR, second of all its in Holland, and third of all its edited by you! :) Oh, and I'm the first to comment too. Thats already pretty special on your photostream.

I like the beams of light a lot, even though the clouds are a bit darker than they would have been in real I suppose. Dutch skies are famous from the paintings of the Dutch Masters in the 17th century, and I think in your HDR you achieved their effect nicely :) Of course the windmill adds a nice foreground, and instantly made me pick it out from the world through my eyes pool since its so Dutch :)

Another fabulous capture and process! Love the sunbeams: our family have always called this 'Jesus Light' because of the ubiquitous use of it in old paintings featuring religious dudes.

I'm not sure about HDR works but they do seem tobe getting more interesting for me. There are many things to catch the eye in this photo and it does make me want to go to Holland again. I am enjoying your travels.

It's really beautifull. I'm from Holland and I thought of the Holland landscape as pretty boring. But the way you visualize it it's just great.
I've never seen it like this, only maybe after a couple of joints.
