The Abaondoned Church on the Icelandic Tundra

I arrived just as night was falling and I was trying to find my way to a remote hotel in the countryside. I stayed at the church for a while, taking pictures of the structure and the graveyard. There was an evening mist bordering on snow falling. It was all a surreal and calming experience.

The lighting here is just excellent, the warm lighting on the church contrasts the brilliant blue sky. This is always my favorite time of day, I've always loved that deep blue sky right after sunset . Excellent work.

The frozen tundra is a good touch and I love the lighting. HDR really does work wonders in imaging, but you bring out so much clarity for us to experience.
