Rabaul New Ireland Papua New Guinea 2012.

In 1994 Rabaul was severely damaged by the eruption of two volcanoes, Tavurvur and Vulcan.
The damage was so severe that the authorities decided to move the administrative centre from Rabaul to Kokopo some 42 kms away.
The arrival of some 48 cruise ships visiting the port has had a positive impact on the local economy.
