So wouldn't you think that if the parents allowed them to do all this purchasing, preparing and eating in their house that there would have been a slice of pie, from the three pies, left for them when they got home???? BUT NO!!!!

Well, if you had asked, we could have left you some, but I was worried it would spoil since you weren't going to be home for a few days. :P

It's called refrigeration. I will have you make some for Christmas, how about that?

Yes, I can do that. I already have the pumpkin filling and the pie crusts so I just need the evaporated milk and the cream.

My sister and I are making Thanksgiving dinner. I tried a decadent new pie recipe. It seems very promising. Might have to try a piece of it tonight, lest I poison our guests...

I loooove pumpkin pie. When I was a little kid, about a month before Thanksgiving, I would start leaving my mom these little notes all around the house trying to tempt her to make the pies early or to practice her pie-making and to let me be the taste-tester. I remember putting them on her car seat, under the coffee pot, even inside the toilet bowl. I was a little crazed about the pie.

Last time I spent Thanksgiving with my her in Upstate NY (not this last one but the year before) she made this whole one just for me: :)

Heh, that is adorable! You went to some pretty great lengths for that pie, woman. I'm a bit of a junkie for pumpkin pie too. I pretty much have to volunteer to make it for any Thanksgiving gathering now because I get a little depressed and pouty when it's not there.

I think my top three favorite pies are: pumpkin, rhubarb, and cherry.
