I have a parakeet named Elbie, who looks a lot like this one. I wonder if she would like to take up chess. Anyway, nicely done photo, and clever, too. Thanks for some nice chuckles, which I can relive from time to time because I've saved this one as a favorite.

Just out of curiosity, assuming the bird won, how many moves did it take to checkmate you? :-)

in flax's version of the game, winning is achieved by picking up all the pieces and dropping them over the edge of the couch.

so there's not really any 'checkmate'
