Armed rescue man.
I am still sadly slow on comments to flickr friends, but I couldn't resist posting this picture from today. There is a local cross country race every Easter Eve, and as a member of the local Red Cross rescue team I am one of the persons on duty. But I am also the only one in Fjaerland with a leagal handgun, so I am the starter of the race too. That makes for an armed first aid man, both knife and a .45 as you see. When people ask why the gun is there I say that there is always a limit to what first aid can do, and if the injury is too bad then...
